in New Orleans

American Library Association conference highlights thus far:

  • Shaking hands with New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin
  • Meeting many wonderful librarians, especially you, Dawn!
  • Walking along Bourbon Street and realising that I’m walking along Bourbon Street
  • Randomly running into Margo Lanagan and her son Jack
  • Picking up lots of free books, including John Green’s latest. Mmmm free books . . .
  • Meeting someone who’s actually talked to Elvis Presley!!!!!

Running out of time so now I go.

isn’t the new orleans mayor guy a {bleep}. Isn’t he the one who wants to make New Orleans “more black” or sorry, “african american”…Isn’t he the same mayor that during Hurricane Katrina helped no one for he did not warn them in time…Yes. that is him. He cost my cousin’s life…Damn him to hell. R.I.P. Shelley

i read your first book from the triology- magic or madness(that IS the first book, right??) and all i have to say is Oh…My… God!!!!!!!!!!!! That book totally rocks. and that’shard for me to say considering how much of a geek i am and i judge books extra hard. but that book knocked my socks off!!! i ususally read the whole teenage problems/ love kinda books and this book is like the ultimate best. WOW!! i’m really speechless. i started reading the book yesterday, and i couldn’t sleep all night- waiting for the morning to start reading it. NEVER, EVER stop writinng!! i though that uglies, pretties and specials were the best- you know the whole tally and david thing, but your book is like- WOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!! i gotta go, but i’m totally dding the other books to my library.

    P.S: have fun in new.o 😉
