I have been promising for some time that I would write about how most love songs are actually about stalking. However that time is not now on account of I am behind with everything. So far behind that I can’t continue any feuds with other YA writers or—much much worse—follow the Tour de France. Yes, it’s that bad. Again.
In the meantime tell me what your favourite/most appalling stalker song is in the comments below. I will send a signed (by me and Scott) copy of the anthology Love is Hell to the commenter whose stalker song selections most amuses me. Or at random if the busy-ness makes my brain not function enough to decide. You can find the first part of my story in the anthology here.
In the meantime here’s Stalker Song by Charlotte Martin (via Stephanie Leary):
Classic: The Police – Every Breath You Take
Clay Aiken – Invisible
The song “Stalker” by Goldfinger is a nice twist on the whole love songs are about stalkers idea. He falls in love with his stalker.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Catch You

One of my favorite stalker songs, haha. XP
~Remula
“Charlene (I’m Right Behind You)” by Stephen and the Colberts.
Hi 🙂
Thanks for an interesting contest!
Here’s my choice for STALKER song:
So lately, I’ve been wonderin
Who will be there to take my place
When I’m gone, you’ll need love
To light the shadows on your face
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
And between the sand and stone
Could you make it on your own
[Chorus:]
If I could, then I would
I’ll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I’ll go wherever you will go
And maybe, I’ll find out
The way to make it back someday
To watch you, to guide you
Through the darkest of your days
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
Well I hope there’s someone out there
Who can bring me back to you
[Chorus]
Runaway with my heart
Runaway with my hope
Runaway with my love
I know now, just quite how
My life and love might still go on
In your heart and your mind
I’ll stay with you for all of time
[Chorus]
If I could turn back time
I’ll go wherever you will go
If I could make you mine
I’ll go wherever you will go
The Calling: Wherever You Will Go

Alone, most of these may seem like innocent love songs. Together, they paint a chilling tale.
Across The Sea- Weezer
I’ve Just Seen A Face- The Beatles
Hello, I Love You- The Doors
Hey There Delilah- Plain White T’s
I Want You To Want Me- Cheap Trick
I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend- The Ramones
Why Can’t I Be You- The Cure
One Way Or Another- Blondie
It Wont Be Long- The Beatles
All I Want Is More- Reel Big Fish
Psycho Killer- Talking Heads
It’s frightening. Especially with some of those songs’ backstories. ‘Hey There Delilah’? ‘Hey There Girl I Met Once And Struck Out With Because You Had A Boyfriend So I Wrote A Hit Song About Our Undying Love’?
If that doesn’t spell stalker, I don’t know what does.
It’s possibly a stretch to call it a stalker song, but my favorite is probably Ani DiFranco’s “Untouchable Face” (warning NSFW lyrics). Youtube vid of performance is here.
“I Want You to Want Me” by Cheap Trick
Peter Gabriel’s “Intruder” takes the cake for me!
Better The Devil You Know — Kylie Minogue. Stalking via pleading and begging…
There are too many Elvis songs to choose from.
Sarah McLachlan’s “Possession” has to get points for allegedly plagiarizing an actual crazed fan letter. But toxicfur’s Ani DiFranco song is delightfully creepy!
The Enrique Iglesias’ song ‘Escape’ definitely counts as stalker-ish. “You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape my love”?
My favorite stalker song is “Missed Me” by The Dresden Dolls. It’s a bit different then your typical stalker song; this one involves a young girl manipulating an older man. It’s a creepy, fun song. Also, the drummer of the Dresden Dolls puts on a pretty funny live performance in the song.
((There’s one curse word in it, just in case someone’s at work or something))

I Wanna Love You by Akon. It is completely disturbing! Quite appalling.
“On the Street Where You Live” from My Fair Lady.
And oh! The towering feeling
Just to know somehow you are near.
The overpowering feeling
That any second you may suddenly appear!
People stop and stare. They don’t bother me.
For there’s no where else on earth that I would rather be.
Let the time go by, I won’t care if I
Can be here on the street where you live.
I change my mind! I have a better one!
I Will Possess Your Heart by Death Cab For Cutie:
How I wish you could see the potential,
the potential of you and me.
It’s like a book elegantly bound but,
in a language that you can’t read.
Just yet.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
There are days when outside your window
I see my reflection as I slowly pass,
and I long for this mirrored perspective
when we’ll be lovers, lovers at last.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
I will possess your heart.
I will possess your heart.
You reject my… advances… and desperate pleas…
I won’t let you… let me down… so easily.
So easily.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
You gotta spend some time, Love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
And I know that you’ll find, love
I will possess your heart.
I will possess your heart.
I will possess your heart.
Here are a couple more:
“Hungry Like The Wolf” by Duran Duran
“Cold Desert” by Kings of Leon
Ooh, so many to choose from, but the first one that comes to mind is “Stalker” by Turin Brakes.
I act like a friend
I feel like a brand new start
But I will break in
Then I will break your heart
Every sing thing you say
I record I replay
I’m a shadow just behind
I am with you all of the time
And Lady Gaga’s song “Paparazzi”
I’m your biggest fan
I’ll follow you until you love me…
Promise I’ll be kind
But I won’t stop until that boy is mine
Baby you’ll be famous, chase you down until you love me…
“Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne
My favourite is Living Room by Tegan and Sara 🙂 Every stalker song needs a banjo.
Good Charlotte’s Bloody Valentine. It’s the best, really.
I think my favorite stalker song is from the Killers: Mr. Brightside….the guys is watching the girl with another guy…you can get more stalkerish then that
Definitely Helen Hunt by Hank Green. Hahaha
http://wiki.dftba.com/index.php/Helen_Hunt
Um… Plain White T’s are very stalkerish… Hey there Delilah, You and Me, Write You a Song, and I could go on…
You Found Me by Kelly Clarkson, kind of the other person is the stalker here. I mean just read the chorus:
“You found me
When no one else was lookin’
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn’t leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
You found me”
Check Yes Juliet- We The Kings
(I won’t go, until you come outside- creepy, much?)
I think the song “Paparazzi” by Lady GaGa fits the bill.
Criteria: spooky, catchy and dancable. It fits in with our obsession with Ours! The cult of celebrity of which I’m a recruiter! 🙂 The pauses where she repeats syllables also lend themselves to a different disturbing meaning – someone mentioned Stacey’s Mom up there. You’ll be happily jamming along in the car until you realize the lyrics are…
“I’m your biggest fan, I’ll follow you until you love me
Papa, paparazzi
Baby there’s no other superstar, you know that I’ll be
Your papa, paparazzi
Promise I’ll be kind
But I won’t stop until the boy is mine
Baby you’ll be famous, chase you down until you love me
Papa, paparazzi.”
And as a second, Bree Sharp’s unjustly forgotten “David Duchovny.”
David Duchovny/Why won’t you love me?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE-SRaHCbg8
Cole Porter’s ‘I’ve Got My Eyes on You’ (a weird song to tap dance to, even if it’s Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell).
I’ve got my eyes on you, so best beware where you roam.
I’ve got my eyes on you, so don’t stray too far from home.
Incidentally, I’ve set my spies on you,
I’m checking all you do, from a to zee.
So, darling, just be wise, keep your eyes on me.
Dido – White Flag. I can’t listen to it without wincing for the poor guy who’s dealing with this demented ex
I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn’t say it, well I’d still have felt it
where’s the sense in that?
I promise I’m not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were
I will go down with this ship
And I won’t put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I’m in love and always will be
I know I left too much mess and
destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble
I understand if you can’t talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of “it’s over”
then I’m sure that that makes sense
I will go down with this ship
And I won’t put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I’m in love and always will be
Niki FM by Hawthorne Heights
“I’m outside of your window with my radio.”
Oh! Steph’s mention of the Dresden Dolls reminded me of the Amanda Palmer/Neil Gaiman collaboration on “I Google You.” It’s not physical creepy stalking, but it’s the 21st century equivalent. Of course, none of *us* would google our exes, right? Youtube vid of her performance.
“Tear You Apart” by She Wants Revenge. The creepiness factor is even higher when you watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXd-39W_qZU
Nickelback – Follow You Home ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg_odY57bLY )
In case the title doesn’t say enough, here’s a sample of some lyrics:
“You can make a couple calls
And tell your brothers I’m in town
Put a bounty on my head
And tell my parents that I’m dead
And hope to hell I’m never found
You can steal me the keys
To your daddy’s Cadillac
Well you can tamper with the brakes
Call it a mistake
And pray I’m never coming back
And I’ll stay alive
Just to follow you home”
Snow White Queen by Evanescence,
A french and funny song by Renan Luce, Les Voisines (it can be translated as The Woman Next-Door or the Neighbour in English) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO2a5MNH0Us
And finally Stalker by Recoil (not so famous and I prefer the two other songs, but creepy and strange).
“Johanna” from Sweeney Todd
“Do they think that walls can hide you?
Even now I’m at your window
I am in the dark beside you
Buried sweetly in your yellow hair
Johanna…”
“On the Street Where You Live” from My Fair Lady. The character Freddy sings this, and my most recent chance to see this live has shown me just how creepy a song it really is.
Not about songs, but your general thesis reminds me of how I think most romantic comedies are also about stalking. The first one I think of is Love Actually, when Keira Knightley learns a dude has a crush on her because he took lots of obsessive video footage of her. And she’s like, “Thanks, it’s beautiful!” Well.
“Goodnight and Go” by Imogen Heap, but “invisible” by Clay Aiken is a close second.
And, guys, don’t be idiots. I mean, seriously? “You Found Me” is about how the guy saw a light in her and fell in love when no one else did. And “Mr. Brightside” is about the guy having a nightmare that she’s with another guy: “And it’s all in my head but she’s touching his chest now…” etc.
Ooh, stalker songs! What fun!
I think almost my whole list has already been covered: “On the Street Where You Live”, “Every Breath You Take” ::shudder::, “Paparazzi”, “Johanna”.
I’d only add (from My Fair Lady again) “Just You Wait” — which isn’t so much stalkery as just a revenge fantasy, I guess — and the Beatles’ super-creepy Run for Your Life, and … a bunch of stuff by Elvis. (I like Elvis, but I have to tune out a lot of the lyrics because they’re stalkery and/or boil down to shut up and hop on into that bed.)
I’ve always liked the Danny Michel song he wrote about the woman who was stalking Brad Pitt:
“Coalmine”
In the centrefold
from the Superteen
and the sparkle paint
and the pretty dreams
And the candycoat
on your candy heart
Well it chipped and broke
and fell apart.
Well all the stars in Hollywood
Shine shine shine
All your love came crashing down
Like an old coalmine
So you’re camping out
under a pretty sky
And you seranade
and you justify
And you climb the gate
and rehearse your lines
and you set the plate
and you pour some wine
Well all the stars in Hollywood
shine shine shine
All your love came crashing down
Like an old coalmine
With a picketfence
upon the hill
With a couple kids
and a Coupe de Ville
and a cup of tea
and a pretty pill
Cause if i can’t have
you no one will
And the sirens wail
on the TV set
You love me you
just don’t know it yet
Well all the stars in Hollywood
Shine shine shine
All your love came crashing down
Like an old coalmine
I would have to say Sweet Tangerine by The Hush Sound is stalker-tastic. Crept through the curtains/as quick as the cold winds/slowly exploring the room where you sleep
I quite like Imogen Heap’s ‘Goodnight & Go’ – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyzgPNF8C8k
It starts as your usual happy ‘oooh, I’ve got a crush I wants you bad’ pop song, until the second verse kicks in, which makes me laugh every time.
Say goodnight and go
Skipping beats
Blushing cheeks
I am struggling
Daydreaming
Bed scenes in
The corner cafe
And then i’m left in bits
Recovering tectonic
Tremblings
You get me every time
Why do you have to be so cute
It’s impossible to ignore you
Must you make me laugh so much
It’s bad enough we get along so well
Say goodnight and go
Follow you home
You’ve got your headphones on
And you’re dancing
Got lucky, beautiful shot
You taking everything off
Watch the curtains wide open
Then you fall in the same routine
Flicking through the TV
Relaxed and reclining
And you think your alone
Oh why do you have to be so cute
It’s impossible to ignore you
Must you make me laugh so much
It’s bad enough we get along so well
Say goodnight and go
One of these days
You’ll miss your train
And come stay with me
Say goodnight and go
We’ll have drinks
And talk about things
Any excuse to stay awake with you
You’ll sleep here
I’ll sleep there
But then the heating may be down again
At my convenience
We’d be good
We’d be great together
Why do you have to be so cute
It’s impossible to ignore you
Must you make me laugh so much
It’s bad enough we get along so well
Say goodnight and go
Why’s it always always
Goodnight and go
Oh darling not again
Goodnight and go
“I Don’t Want to Know (If You Don’t Want Me)” by The Donnas is a hilarious and catchy stalker song
“God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys actually disturbs me. SEEMS all happy and innocent, but the guy threatens to kill himself if the girl leaves? A little emotionally abusive.
If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on, believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me?
God only knows what I’d be without you…
“Myspace Girl”-The Afters
I saw you once, it was enough
You asked me what I wanted, I want you
But I replied, I’ll have some fries
So mesmerized, my heart was over driving through
I saw your name and unashamed
I searched within 500 miles to find
Any clue just as to who I’ve fallen for
Cause you’ve got me and I’ve got time
I saw your picture on Myspace
Maybe someday we can turn it into ourspace baby
I don’t care how long it takes
I’m saving space in my top 8 for you
The second time you were so nice
I loved the way told me to enjoy my day
But I know what you meant to say instead
Was really that you wanted us to run away
I said let’s go, I’ll pack my clothes
Just promise me you’ll wear that purple dress you have
You look so cute when you’re confused
You backed away and asked me how I new about that
I saw your picture on Myspace
Maybe someday we can turn it into ourspace baby
I don’t care how long it takes
I’m saving space in my top 8 for you
I know you’re scared
I know our love is crazy
And I’m so crazy
You make me crazy
For you
I saw your picture on Myspace
Maybe someday we can turn it into ourspace baby
I don’t care how long it takes
I’m saving space in my top 8 for you
Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5USlsLVQzk&feature=related
I’ll think about you Night and Day
I’ve got you Under My Sking
I’ll be loving Always
Every Time We Say Goodbye I die a little
They Can’t Take That Away From Me
You may be right about this stalking thing.
“Taylor the Latte Boy” combined with “Carol the Stalker Chick.” “Taylor” is harmless on its own, but “Carol” adds all-new, stalkerish meaning to it.
“Taylor”
“Taylor the Latte Boy
bring me java, bring me joy!
Taylor the Latte Boy
I love him, I love him, I love him.”
“Carol” (Taylor’s response)
“Carol the Stalker Chick
you’re a psycho and you’re sick.
Carol the Stalker Chick
you scare me, you scare me, you scare me.”
Faint by Linkin Park:
“I am what I want you to want, what I want you to feel
But it’s like no matter what I do
I can’t convince you to just believe this is real”
“Sin miedo a nada” by Alex Ubago [translated to the best of my ability]:
“I die to beg you
That you don’t leave my life
I die to hear you
Say the things you never say
But I keep quiet and you leave
I keep hope
To be able someday
To not have to hide the wounds
It hurts to think
That I love you a every day a bit more.”
I was going to mention ‘Taylor the Latte Boy’, but since that’s already been mentioned, I’ll talk about some of the other thousand million candidates instead.
‘Everywhere’ by Michelle Branch is about a girl obsessed with a guy, but the lyrics come off sounding like the guy is stalking her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ky6_YU98tk
‘Just tell me why you’re here and who you are
‘Cause every time I look you’re never there
And every time I sleep you’re always there’
But my favourite stalker song is by far Busted’s ‘What I Go To School For’or’ is actually quite explict in its stalkerishness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPd-58LJi58
‘I climb a tree outside her home
To make sure that she’s alone
I’ve seen her in her underwear
I can’t help but stop and stare’
And in the end he gets the girl! Moral: stalking your teachers will clearly result in ilicit romance.
Even the criminally sanitised Jonas Brothers version keeps the stalkery tree climbing, even if it does get rid of the line about the underwear, and changes the teacher to a senior girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Pe7Z-GC5gQ
‘What I Go To School For’ is so blatant about its intentions that it’s hard to fault the Busted boys for it, and it’s so completely stalkerish that even Disney couldn’t get rid of all the stalkerish lines. And that is why it is my favourte stalker song.
I have to say that I find “We Get On” by Kate Nash to be a hilarious sort-of-stalker song (sample lyrics: “I don’t ever dream about you and me
I don’t ever make up stuff about us
that would be considered insanity
I don’t ever drive by your house to see if you’re in
I don’t even have an opinion on that tramp
that you are still seeing”)
Secret by Maroon 5 –
“I know I don’t know you but I want you so bad”
my ‘favourite’ stalker song is is ‘Highschool stalker’ by a scandinavian group called ‘Hello Saferide’. You can listen to it on their my space page
http://www.myspace.com/saferide
there is a very bad live video on youtube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjz2fEwxWR0
the lyrics are here [but you really should listen to the song, i find it hilarious, not at all creepy though…]
http://www.hellosaferide.com/?page_id=5#highschoolstalker
Oh, yes. My friends and I have been joking about the frighteningly stalkerish qualities of this song for months!
I’m sure the song wasn’t meant to sound so damn creepy, but the lyrics choices in it can cause anyone to double-take and shiver a little. Which is ironic, because the title of the song is called “Shiver”!
Shiver, by Coldplay, to be exact.
Some examples of the creepy lyrical potential:
“From the moment I wake
To the moment I sleep
I’ll be there by your side
Just you try and stop me!”
Seems like an invitation for a restraining order, no?
“Did you want me to change?
Well I changed for good
And I want you to know
That you’ll always get your way.”
Sweet and caring, or unhealthily obsessive? You be the judge.
“And it’s you I see
But you don’t see me”
I don’t know about you, but I get some horrible imagery of the singer hiding – dodgy-like – behind some bushes as he hungrily and stalker-ily stares at a girl…
The song is filled with stalker-y lyrics – search it up on Google!
There’s Joe Jackson’s “Is She Really Going Out With Him?”
Here comes Jeannie with her new boyfriend
They say that looks don’t count for much
And so there goes your proof
Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
Cause if my eyes don’t deceive me
There’s something going wrong around here
But if looks could kill
There’s a man there who’s marked down as dead
Cause I had my fill
Listen you take your hands from her head
I get so mean around this scene
Hey, baby
You didn’t specify a human stalker. How about The Cheeseburger Song? A sad vegetable stalking his cheeseburger love, waiting all hours to get inside the burger joint for one bite to share together. If that isn’t true stalkerdom… the chorus gives it away. “‘Cause you’re his cheeseburger, his yummy cheeseburger, he’ll wait for you, yeah, he’ll wait for you…” You get the idea.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XFNtXbkelM
Yummy stalkerdom!
AS much as I like the song, A Never Ending Song of Love is pretty stalker.
I’ve got a never-ending love for you
From now on that’s all I want to do
From the first time we met I knew
I’d have a never-ending love for you
After all this time of bein’ alone
We can love one another, give for each other
From now on (rest)
It’s so good I can hardly stand it
Never-ending love for you
From now on that’s all I want to do
From the first time we met I knew
I’d sing my never-ending song of love for you
ITA with Maggi — Invisible by Clay Aiken
I keep tracing your steps
Each move that you make
If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room
If I was invincible
I’d make you mine tonight
If hearts were unbreakable
Then I can just tell you where I stand
I would be the smartest man
If I was invisible
(Wait..I already am)
That Myspace song is hilariously creepy!
Garbage’s #1 Crush is pretty creepy. And the repeated “I will never be ignored” lines really hit the stalkerness home. It makes since that it was on the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AlXffy8tO0
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/garbage/1crush.html
I’ve loved this song for forever…but it totally makes me feel like a creepface.
A lot of great suggestions here. I’m glad someone else mentioned Busted, who always seemed to me like the more commercially acceptable and cleaned up version of Derek Dubois.
One extremely stalkertastic song I feel is often overlooked (due to a: not being a single, and b: being by a sort of Spice Girls copycat band who enjoyed a brief period of Disney Channel fame before fizzling) is “Never Giving Up” by B*Witched. It’s clearly meant to be an upbeat love will persevere song, but um yeah, creepy much?
ohh I just thought of a better stalker song than then ones I put before!
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town:
“He sees you when you’re sleeping,
he knows when you’re awake.
He knows when you’ve been bad or good”
Well, I was going to put Number One Crush by Garbage down, but looks like Paleface beat me to it. I LOVE the song, but it is VERY VERY VERY stalkery.
Lyrics:
I would die for you
I would die for you
I’ve been dying just to feel you by my side
To know that you’re mine
I will cry for you
I will cry for you
I will wash away your pain with all my tears
And drown your fear
I will pray for you
I will pray for you
I will sell my soul for something pure and true
Someone like you
See your face every place that I walk in
Hear your voice every time that I’m talking
You will believe in me
And I will never be ignored
I will burn for you
Feel pain for you
I will twist the knife and bleed my aching heart
And tear it apart
I will lie for you
Beg and steal for you
I will crawl on hands and knees until you see
You’re just like me
Violate all the love that I’m missing
Throw away all the pain that I’m living
You will believe in me
And I can never be ignored
I Will Follow You Into the Dark – Death Cab for Cutie.
“If there’s no one beside you when your soul embarks, then I’ll follow you into the dark.”
I’m still thinking up more.
Sorry, Palefire, I got your name wrong. Huge apologies.
“The Horror of Our Love” by Ludo. It’s actually one of my favorite songs, and while very creepy, manages to somehow sound very sweet at the same time.
“I’m a killer, cold and wrathful. Silent sleeper, I’ve been inside your bedroom. I have murdered half the town, left you love notes on their headstones, I’ll fill the graveyards until I have you.”
Here it is with all of the lyrics:
haha, it’s cool. It gave me a good laugh.
My face is pretty pale… 🙂
Cock Robin, “When Your Heart is Weak”
“I’m gonna come without warning, when your defenses are down
And you’re in a desperate need
I’ll bet you then you’ll welcome me”
Well, Rob Charron took the song I was going to use (“Wherever You Will Go” by The Calling), so here are a few others which come to mind. They are not all love songs per se, but they definitely have their stalker-y moments.
“Damn Regret” by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (the line about “footsteps all around”)
“Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden (the chorus, perhaps?)
“Five Minutes to Midnight” by Boys Like Girls
“She’s So High” by Everclear (the whole song just sounds like something that a stalker would think)
“You’re Beautiful” by James Blunt (I absolutely hate this song, but it is definitely stalker-ish)
“She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5 (just think about the lyrics for a minute or two)
“Collide” by Howie Day
“The Calendar Hung Itself” by Bright Eyes
the most stalker-y song?
every breathe you take – the police
(:
When I was 14 a boy gave me a cd and the first song on it was You Belong To Me by Dean Martin… talk about creepy!
I’m not sure if any of these have been used, so far, but here’s my list:
One Way Or Another – Blondie
Infatuation – Rod Stewart
I Want You To Want Me – Cheap Trick
You Oughta Know – Alanis Morrisette
Follow You Home – Nickleback
“Everywhere” – by Michelle Branch.
Or, alternatively, for an intentionally stalkery song: “I Hold Your Hand in Mine” by Tom Lehrer. I love this one because it starts out all innocent and nice and then turns bad very quickly…
My favorite is Elvis Costello’s “I Want You”, which is wonderfully dark and obsessive and could possibly be my favorite song of his ever.
Then there’s Radiohead’s “Climbing Up the Walls” which I don’t see as a traditional stalker song (unless you can stalk yourself), but has creepy stalker lyrics:
I am the key to the lock in your house
That keeps your toys in the basement
And if you get too far inside
You’ll only see my reflection
It’s always best when the covers up
I am the pick in the ice
Do not cry out or hit the alarm
You know we’re friends till we die
And either way you turn
I’ll be there
Open up your skull
I’ll be there
Climbing up the walls
It’s always best when the light is off
It’s always better on the outside
Fifteen blows to the back of your head
Fifteen blows to your mind
So lock the kids up safe tonight
Shut the eyes in the cupboard
I’ve got the smell of a local man
Who’s got the loneliest fear
That either way you turn
I’ll be there
Open up your skull
I’ll be there
Climbing up the walls
Climbing up the walls
Climbing up the walls
I think that Two Steps Behind by Def Leppard is creepy stalker-ish .
“Walk away if you want to.
Its ok, if you need to.
Well, you can run, but you can never hide
From the shadow thats creepin up beside you.”
“Well, I’ll be two steps behind you
(wherever you go)
And I’ll be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around and I’ll be two steps behind.”
“My Eyes Adored You” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” both by Frankie Valli. I think both are kind of stalkerish.
“My eyes adored you thought I never laid a hand on you,
My eyes adored you like a million miles away from me
You couldn’t see how I adored you,
So close, so close and yet so far.”
“You’re just to good to be true,
Can’t take my eyes off of you,
You’d be like heaven to touch,
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived,
And I thank God I’m alive,
You’re just too good to be true,
Can’t take my eyes off of you.
Pardon the way that I stare,
There’s nothing else to compare,
The sight of you leaves me weak,
There are no words left to speak.
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it’s real,
You’re just too good to be true,
Can’t take my eyes off of you.
I love you baby,
And if it’s quite all right,
I need you baby to warm the lonely night,
I love you baby, trust in me when I say,
Oh pretty baby, don’t bring me down I pray,
Oh pretty baby, now that I’ve found you stay,
And let me love you, baby,
Let me love you.
You’re just too good to be true.”
“A Guy is a Guy” written by Oscar Brand, but it’s Doris Day’s version that charted. I was flabbergasted when I first heard this and how cheerful she seems about the guy stalking her and how she apparently has no say in the matter whatsoever:
I walked down the street like a good girl should
He followed me down the street like I knew he would
Because a guy is a guy wherever he may be
So listen and I’ll tell you what this fella did to me
I walked to my house like a good girl should
He followed me to my house like I knew he would
Because a guy is a guy wherever he may be
So listen while I tell you what this fella did to me
I never saw the boy before
So nothin’ could be sillier
At closer range his face was strange
But his manner was familiar
So I walked up the stairs like a good girl should
He followed me up the stairs like I knew he would
Because a guy is a guy wherever he may be
So listen and I’ll tell you what this fella did to me
I stepped to my door like a good girl should
He stopped at my door like I knew he would
Because a guy is a guy wherever he may be
So listen while I tell you what this fella did to me
He asked me for a good-night kiss
I said, “It’s still good day”
I would have told him more except
His lips got in the way
So I talked to my ma like a good girl should
And Ma talked to Pa like I knew she would
And they all agreed on a married life for me
The guy is my guy wherever he may be
So I walked down the aisle like a good girl should
He followed me down the aisle like I knew he would
Because a guy is a guy wherever he may be
And now you’ve heard the story of what someone did to me
And that’s what he did to me
Go-Getter Greg by Ludo.
Oh, hello.
Hi
You must be new I guess
At least you’re new to me
Saw you unpacking your car
So I said to myself
Maybe I should help her out
Since we’re neighbors now
And all the other people here are elderly
And probably a little standoffish
And I’ve got nothing to do (and whatnot)
By the way I live in 207
My name is Greg
Wherever are my manners
Let me get that heavy box
I’m a go-getter guy
With a gun in my hand
But just searching for that someone
To be firing it
I’ve narrowed down the field
And I’m taking a glance
And I’d say you’ve got a pretty good chance
To be my girlfriend
What’s up
Didn’t mean to sneak up on you there
I looked downstairs and saw you leaving
So what’s up
I haven’t seen you at the pool
Since the barbecue
Not that I’ve been checking
Here’s the deal
I’ve got this thing
For work this weekend
And I was wondering
If you don’t have
Anything going on
That maybe
Ok, hey that’s cool
You’re busy
But we should hit up
Jose O’Flannegens
For jello shots
Your call
It’s ok not this week
But Monday
You could come over tonight
I’ll be watching cop dramas
Smoking fatty fatties
I’m a go-getter guy
With a gun in my hand
But just searching for that someone
To be firing it
I’ve narrowed down the field
And I’m taking a glance
And I’d say you’ve got a pretty good chance
To be my girlfriend
Oooo
I’ve given it some thought
Wahoo
And I really think
Wahoo
That you could use
A guy like me
Ooo
In your life
Looking after you
A man to take you home
A hand for you to hold
And I’d never
Leave you alone!
I’m a go-getter guy
With a gun in my hand
But just searching for that someone
To be firing it
I’ve narrowed down the field
And I’m taking a glance
And I’d say you’ve got a pretty good chance
To be my girlfriend
I’m a go-getter guy
I’m a go-getter guy
I’ve narrowed down the field
And I’ve taken a glance
And I’d say you’ve got a pretty good chance
Chance
Chance
To be my girlfriend
I’ll leave it there
Call me back
Call me back
“Calling You” by Blue October. I absolutely love this song, but it’s kind of weird after you listen to it too much. My sister calls it the Ultimate Desperate Boyfriend Song.
“I will keep calling you to see
If you’re sleeping, are you dreaming?
If you’re dreaming, are you dreaming of me?”
Although I think “Myspace Girl” takes the cake for creepy stalker songs.
Definitely Crush by Paul Van Dyk:
Here are the lyrics:
Cant run away, cant run away from me
Ill navigate the seven seas just to find you
Cant hide away, cant hide away from me
Ill be your shadow when the sun dont shine
I’ll be your fly on the wall
Your wrecking ball
Your wake up call on a sleepless night
Ill be your cigarette smoke
Your Junkies dope
Youll be hanging by a thread and Ill be holding the rope
Cars and planes and boats wont do
Yeah you can be sure Ill find you
I know you want me
Why wont you see me?
If I suffer then youll too
Im not alone out in the blue
You cant escape me
I wont just disappear
Cant fly away, cant fly away from me
Ill grab your wings and pull back down
Cant walk away, cant walk away from me
Cant you understand were meant to be?
Ill be the soles on your feet
Your sticky sheet
Your big black cloud on a sunny day
I’ll be your shoulders chip
Your sinking ship
Dont try to turn the pages, it’s not that easy to spit
Cars and planes and boats wont do
Yeah you can be sure Ill find you
I know you want me
Why wont you see me?
If I suffer then youll too
Im not alone out in the blue
You cant escape me
I wont just disappear
Dont throw it all away
Because Ill be back for loving
I know you want me
..haha really straight forward and sooo creepy!
Since you haven’t picked yet I’ll add another:
I don’t know if intentionally stalkery songs count, but “Lonely Room” from Oklahoma! is rawther creepy.
Hey There Delilah by the Plain White Tees. It’s most obviously the Stalker Alliance’s National Anthem.
Paula Abdul’s creepy stalker on American Idol!
The Police-Every Breath You Take
Every single day
Every breath you take
I’ll be watching you
totally stalker status
“Hey Juliet” is a pretty spooky stalker song by LMNT, with lyrics like, “I know you really want me… So why you trying do to without me?”
And Weird Al’s “Do I Creep You Out,” is a classic stalker song.
“I know that you
Don’t know me very well
We’ve barely met
But I can surely tell
No one will ever
Love you like I do
I like to feel
The warm spot on your chair
Sometimes I drool
And usually I stare
My precious one
I saved that gum
That you threw in the garbage
You’re the one I dream about
But the only question with me now
Is ‘Do I creep you out?'”
Yeah, you do, actually. Seriously.
Love Scott and your books. 🙂
~Ariel
Alanis Morissette
(“You Oughta Know”),
She’s Krazy, do u need to know any more!!
Favorite stalker song would probably be Binoculars by Julia Nunes. It’s witty and oddly sweet.
Funniest stalker song would probably be If Ever You Should Stalk a Stalker ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTnJuJM7-Zw ).
Neither are very subtle about the subject, but they’re still good!
I have two stalker songs I adore:
Patsy Cline “She’s Got You”
I’ve got your picture
That you gave to me
And it’s signed with love
Just like it used to be
The only thing different
The only thing new
I’ve got your picture
She’s got you
I’ve got the records
That we used to share
And they still sound the same
As when you were here
The only thing different
The only thing new
I’ve got the records
She’s got you
CHORUS:
I’ve got your memory
Or, has it got me
I really don’t know
But I know, it won’t let me be
I’ve got your class ring
That proved you cared
And it still looks the same
As when you gave it, dear
The only thing different
The only thing new
I’ve got these little things
She’s got you
and “Johanna” from Sweeney Todd
I feel you, Johanna,
I feel you.
I was half convinced I’d waken,
Satisfied enough to dream you.
Happily I was mistaken,
Johanna.
I’ll steal you, Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
[dialogue]
I’ll steal you, Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
Do they think that walls could hide you?
Even now, I’m at your window.
I am in the dark beside you,
Buried sweetly in your yellow hair!
I feel you, Johanna,
And one day I’ll steal you!
Til I’m with you then,
I’m with you there,
Sweetly buried in your yellow hair!
There’s the classics — “One Way Or Another” by Blondie, “I Will Follow Him” by Little Peggy March, “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5, “Every Breath You Take” and “Can’t Stand Losing You” and “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” by Police. (Police? CREEPIEST. BAND. EVER. :P)
There’s the more contemporary — “As Long As You Love Me” by the Backstreet Boys gave me an irrational fear of boy bands. “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” solidified by hatred of Kylie Minogue.
My personal favorite is “Escape” by Enrique Iglesias. “If you feel like leaving, I’m not gonna make you stay. Soon you’ll be finding, you can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape my love.” If that doesn’t creep you out, I don’t know what will.
Dozzzier: Steady on! This is an Australian blog: there will be no Kylie Minogue hating.
I think nothing beats The Police- “Every Breath You Take” (“Every move you make… I’ll be watching you”) as the ultimate stalker love song.
But as for straight up stalker songs, how about “Stan” by Eminem? It’s about this obsessed fan, Stan, who basically kills himself because Eminem never answered his letters. Great song, but a little scary.
You guys are totally missing THE BEST stalker song of ALL TIME!
Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, by Herman’s Hermits!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv8k0VI9tBc
Every time I hear this song, I can feel an earnest-voiced and fresh-faced British bloke lurking outside my window in the dark.
“Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter,
Girls as sharp as her are somethin’ rare.
But it’s sad, she doesn’t love me now,
She’s made it clear enough it ain’t no good to pine.
She wants to return those things I bought her,
Tell her she can keep them just the same.
Things have changed, she doesn’t love me now,
She’s made it clear enough it ain’t no good to pine.
Walkin’ about, even in a crowd, well…
You’ll pick her out, makes a bloke feel so proud!
If she finds that I’ve been round to see you,
(round to see you)
Tell her that I`m well and feelin’ fine.
(feelin’ fine)
Don’t let on, don’t say she’s broke my heart.
I’d go down on my knees but it’s no good to pine.
Walkin’ about, even in a crowd, well…
You’ll pick her out, makes a bloke feel…!
If she finds that I’ve been round to see you,
(round to see you)
Tell her that I`m well and feelin’ fine.
(feelin’ fine)
Don’t let on, don’t say she’s broke my heart.
I’d go down on my knees but it’s no good to pine.
Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter… (lovely daughter)
Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter… (lovely daughter)
Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter… (lovely daughter)
Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter… (lovely daughter)”
well there is the “Stalker song” by Albert Schmidt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIgic1OxXzA
then there is this song..Hey Juliet by LMNT
I’m Right Behind You (Charlene) by Stephen Colbert is a pretty hilarious stalker video.
Clay Aiken’s “Invisible” is by far the world’s best stalker song. I mean, come on, check out these lyrics and tell me that you don’t get serious goosebumps:
“Whatcha doin’ tonight
I wish I could be a fly on your wall
Are you really alone
Who’s stealin’ your dreams
Why can’t I bring you into my life
What would it take to make you see that I’m alive”
And things just get creepier from there:
“Saw your face in the crowd
I call out your name
You don’t hear a sound
I keep tracing your steps
Each move that you make
Wish I could read what goes through your mind
Wish you could touch me with the colors of your life”
Any song that talks about touching someone with the “colors of your life” should automatically win some sort of award. I’m not exactly sure what these “colors” are that Clay speaks of, but I can tell you this: I don’t want them anywhere near me.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, “Invisible” is the best choice because, honestly, this is probably it’s only shot at ever being the “best” at anything because it flat out sucks. It’s like tee ball: Even the awkward, bench-warming kid gets a trophy at the end of the season.
Maybe if Clay doesn’t win this contest, he can win a “Funniest Funeral Song” contest? Because seriously, who doesn’t wanna hear the words “if I was invisible, I would just watch you in your room” while they’re staring at a dead body? It wouldn’t be funny at all for the mourners, but I bet the dead guy would be laughing his butt off somewhere.
Does a parody song count? My friends and I made a parody of Stop and Stare by One Republic called “Stalk and Stare” The chorus goes-
Stalk and Stare
I think about you all the time
I swear
You are mine and I will never share
oh oh ooooh
Stalk and Stare
When you are alone
I am always there
So tell your Boyfriend to beware
oh oh ooooh
Stalk and Stare
I love the way the moonlight
shines on your hair
Without you there would be no air
oh oh ooooh
It keeps going and gets pretty crazy.
But if it has to be song I would go with “Somebody’s Watching Me” By Micheal Jackson. This one of course is from the stalkee’s point of view. I want to know how no one thought of this song though!
When I’m in the shower
I’m afraid to wash my hair
‘Cause I might open my eyes
And find someone standing there
People say I’m crazy
Just a little touched
But maybe showers remind me
Of Psycho too much
That’s why
(I always feel like)
(Somebody’s watching me)
And I have no privacy
Whooooa, oh-oh
(I always feel like)
(Somebody’s watching me)
Who’s playin’ tricks on me
Then there is also “Kelsey” by Metro Station
So take one word you said
You put it in your bed
You rest your tiny head on your pillow
You wonder where you’re going next
You got your head pushed to my chest
and now you’re hoping that someone let’s you in
Well I’ll sure let you in
You know ill let you in
Oh Kelsey, you.
So don’t let anyone scare you
You know that I’ll protect you
Always,
now through the thick and thin
Until the end
You better watch it
You know you don’t cross it because
I’m always here for you
and I’ll be here for you
(I know x3) I know how it feels believe me
I’ve been there and
(I know x3) I know what it feels like
tell me Kelsey
And I’ll swim the ocean for you
the ocean for you
whoa, oh Kelsey
and I’ll swim the ocean for you
the ocean for you
whoa, oh Kelsey
(i hear you darlin’)

Now it’s gonna get harder
and it’s gonna burn brighter
and it’s gonna feel tougher each and every day
so let me say, that i love you
you’re all I’ve ever wanted
all I’ve ever dreamed of to come
and yes you did come
i want you so bad (so bad)
can you feel it too? (it too)
you know I’m so, I’m so in love with you
i want you, so much
i need you, so much
i need your, i need your, your touch
and I’ll swim the ocean for you
the ocean for you
whoa, oh Kelsey
x4
and you never ever let me in (let me in)
x4
The entire song is full of stalkerish sayings!
Definitely Every Breath You Take by the Police. I actually call it “the stalker song”.
I have to put in another vote for Sir Tessa’s suggestion of “Say Goodnight and Go” by Imogen Heap. It just sounds so . . . pretty, and then you realize what she’s singing.
I was going to say I Will Possess Your Heart by Death Cab for Cutie, but someone already said that.
Bright Eyes – The Calendar Hung Itself
Hands down?
Johanna from Sweeney Todd. Short but effective.
I feel you, Johanna.
I’ll steal you, Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
Do they think that walls could hide you?
Even now, I’m at your window.
I am in the dark beside you,
buried sweetly in your yellow hair.
GOOSEBUMPS. If this doesnt creep you out, I dont know what will. Jamie Campbell Bower makes it that much more creepy! Talk about obsession, poor Johanna! Great movie in my opinion, though. ;D
“Tyler” by the Toadies.
“…I hear her call out to me, I hear the fear in her voice…I will be with her tonight!”
How did a song that creepy even get airplay?
No question it’s “Under the Sofa” by Marit Larsen. It’s so creepy! Here’s the music video.
Personally, I think Taylor Swift’s latest, “You Belong with Me” is a bit stalker-esque. And since I’ve been in situations like that, I totally hated the video. That’s not how real life works. Well, maybe if you’re Taylor Swift, it does.
Someone else mentioned Rod Stewart’s “Infatuation”, I think his “Crazy About Her” is much worse.
Crazy About Her
I walk the streets at night
until the morning light comes shining through
Can’t get a good night’s sleep
Ain’t been to work in weeks
What am I gonna do
Help me
Can’t get her off my mind
I’m drinking too much wine
I’m burning up inside
If I could touch her face
or take her out some place I’d be satisfied
Hey, I’m a loaded gun
I’m crazy about her, crazy about her
Hey, I’m a lovesick son
I’m crazy about her
I see her jogging in Central Park
with one of them Walkman’s on her head.
She was hot, young, beautiful
and I said to myself
She’s destined to be mine
I see her every day
in rush hour or subway, in a grocery store
She don’t notice me,
I might as well just be a cockroach on the floor
If she belonged to me I’d give her everything
I’d never cheat or lie
I’d treat her with respect, not just a sex object
I ain’t that kind of guy
Hey, I’m a loaded gun
I’m crazy about her, crazy about her
Hey, I’m a lovesick son
I’m crazy about her
I was standing outside the Met one day
when she drove by in a black Corvette
I said Hey baby
I could’ve died, she looked straight through me
But I know she’s destined to be mine
Spoken:
Every night I stand around her door and wait for her to come by
She lives in one of those brown-stones with the guard outside
and the limousines and the Rolls Royces coming and going
My friends all say she’s way outta my class
but I know if she’d just get know me
I could give her something all those rich guy ain’t got
Yeah!
Ain’t gonna bide my time ain’t gonna stand in line
Somebody gonna get burned
But, oh the problem is I think my loves at risk
She’s the boss’s girl
Oh no
“Run for your life” by the Beatles. (I think that’s the title.)
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man, that’s the end, little girl
It basically says he’s going to KILL HER. Isn’t it romantic?
In terms of songs that know they’re sung by stalkers, I adore the Magnetic Fields’ “Absolutely Cuckoo.”
Don’t fall in love with me yet
we only recently met
true i’m in love with you but
you might decide i’m a nut
give me a week or two to
go absolutely cuckoo
and when you see your error
then you can flee in terror
like everybody else does
I think I dated that guy!
I work at a very busy public library in the suburbs of a large city. We have a frequent phone customer we’ve nicknamed “Mr. Lonelyhearts” because he calls on an almost daily basis, asking us to look up womens’ phone numbers. This has been going on for years.
Who are these lucky gals? Well, Mr. Lonelyhearts watches a lot of court shows: Judge Judy, Divorce Court, Judge Mathis, and so on. He says he thinks he can help the women who appear on the show. And if they’re publicly listed numbers, we give them to him.
He has been warned in the past for trying to put moves on the librarian staff (always over the phone).
Sooooo…about two months ago, he called wanting to know who wrote the song “Hello, It’s Me.” That would be Todd Rundgren, and now whenever he calls I feel all skeevy as I think of the lyrics:
Hello, it’s me
I’ve thought about us for a long, long time
Maybe I think too much but something’s wrong
There’s something here that doesn’t last too long
Maybe I shouldn’t think of you as mine
Seeing you
Or seeing anything as much as I do you
I take for granted that you’re always there
I take for granted that you just don’t care
Sometimes I can’t help seeing all the way through
It’s important to me
That you know you are free
‘Cause I never want to make you change for me
Think of me
You know that I’d be with you if I could
I’ll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should
It’s important to me
That you know you are free
‘Cause I never want to make you change for me
Think of me
You know that I’d be with you if I could
I’ll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should
Think of me…
Think of me…
Think of me
“I’ll Be Watching You” . . I don’t recall who it is by, I saw it on singstar.
Oh no, someone told me I posted a song that was already posted. I don’t know if that’s allowed 🙁
Just in case, I’ll post this one:
————
OKaysions- Girl Watcher
I’m a girl watcher, I’m a girl watcher…
Watchin’ girls go by, hey, my my
I’m a girl watcher, I’m a girl watcher…
Here comes one now…
I was just a boy when I threw away my toys
And found a new pastime to dwell on
Whenever I detects them there of the other sex
I play the game I do so well on
Mumble something female, my my, but you do look swell
Could you please walk a little slower…
Wonder if you know that you’re putting on a show
Could you please walk a little closer…
———-
My second creepiest song. He’s FOLLOWING her, it freaks me out xD Hope it creeps you out too!
Throw Your Arms Around Me by Hunters and Collectors.
the stalker by piebald (boston area indie band)
[its got claps and double claps]
I’ll be around every corner you go. Don’t you look so surprised.
I’ll be in every dressing room that you’re in.
I’ll be holding every door you walk through. You don’t even have to say thanks.
I’ll get groceries at the same time as you.
Don’t think I don’t know what suits you well. Don’t think I don’t know.
I’ll be in every smoky corner you’ve seen counting your drinks.
I’ll be the guy who drives past your house.
I’ll be hiding behind your mirror watching you crimp your hair.
I’ll follow you with sunglasses on.
Don’t think I don’t know what suits you well. Don’t think I don’t know.
I’ll be looking through your windows at night.
Watching you sleep. I will see you at your big game.
I’ll be at the same parties as you, and I’ll meet you in the closet.
I’ll follow you home when the sun comes up
Don’t think I don’t know what suits you well. Don’t think I don’t know.
I wrote a song a couple of months ago in which I reveal my stalkerish feelings for Spencer Martin. Does that count?
Bella’s Lullaby!
Edward writes it for Bella before he even knows her, and hums it to her while he watches her sleep, completely unaware of his presence… sounds like the song of a stalker to us!
There is a song called the stalker song by the Australian comedy group Tripod. It sort of misses the point a bit because it’s meant to be a little (read: a lot) creepy. It is pretty funny, though.
Check it out:
Follow you home, by Nickelback.
mad late entry, sorry, but I just thought of a completely beautiful song but totally stalkerish:
the whole song, but specifically the lines enclosed with /// <— those things
from the musical Sweeney Todd: “Johanna”
I feel you, Johanna,
I feel you.
I was half convinced I’d waken,
Satisfied enough to dream you.
Happily I was mistaken,
Johanna.
I’ll steal you, Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
I’ll steal you, Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
///Do they think that walls could hide you?
Even now, I’m at your window.
I am in the dark beside you,
Buried sweetly in your yellow hair!///
I feel you, Johanna,
And one day I’ll steal you!
Til I’m with you then,
I’m with you there,
Sweetly buried in your yellow hair!
