Awards - Justine Larbalestier

So, um, I seem to have won three awards this year. I know! I was as shocked as you. Anyways, I thought it might be fun to have a squiz at ’em. For annoying scheduling reasons I managed not to be at any of the award ceremonies so I’ve only just got my hands on two of them and have yet to see the third. It’s back home in Sydney being babysat by my parents (thanks Jan and John!).

The Norton one looks nice. I like the pixie dust inside a tornado inside the glass there.

Frankly, I am not shocked at all! You are totally award worthy. I’m even more proud of you than I was yesterday! Who knew it was possible?
too bad you had to miss the ceremonies. 🙁

Where will you put them all? Y’all are going to have to get a huge display case. Or build lots of shelves. Maybe MJ will go with you to IKEA to get some. 😉 Between the two of you, I think you’re going to run out of available surfaces to put awards on. fast.

In case you run out of room before you get those shelves, here’s an idea. You can put one (obviously one that’s hard to break) in your bathroom (the one that people generally use when they come over). Emma Thompson says that she keeps her Oscar in there. It gives people time to practice their acceptance speeches in private. In front of a mirror. You might want to put up a sign to remind people to wash their hands before picking it up. Or find a disinfectant that won’t ruin it. I’m just sayin…
