In just a few days I’ll be back on the road—to Texas—winding up the HTDYF tour. I’ll also be promoting Love is Hell, answering all your questions, finding out what everyone’s fairy is, and converting those who need converting to the glorious ways of zombies.
Tomorrow I’ll be doing an appearance right here in Manhattan with many fantabulous authors. I did my very first YA author appearance at Books of Wonder. Way back in the olden days with Eoin Colfer and Scott. It was incredible. Peter Glassman (Books of Wonder’s proprietor) has been very good to me and Scott in the ensuing years. It’s always a pleasure to do a Books of Wonder event:

You and Lauren’s blogs have caused me to DREAM that I wrote a book called William Howard Taft, Unicorn. And two sequels. Seriously. I’m on board with zombies.
And we can’t WAIT to have you at BP. I’ve sold HTYF to many a librarian and, of course, teen girls, so I think we’ll have a fun crowd! I hope you and Scott don’t mind the huge pile of books I’m bringing for your John Hancocks!

I agree with Rohan’s pro-Queensland/Brisbane sentiment. If you can’t make it, I’m almost tempted to fly down to Sydney or Melbourne just to attend an event.

i know we’re at the end of the earth, but it’s such a nice end. being the sydneysider that you are, you wouldn’t know what a beautiful beach looks like 😛 and its not just the quokkas that makes them beautiful.
in a few weeks i’m going to blog about quokkas in albany (south wa) and the gilbert’s potoroos they co-habitate with. potoroos vie to surpass quokkas in the cuteness stakes. they live a perilous existance, so i think they’re a bit more special.
