I wanted to go to the U event, but because of work scheduling, I’ll probably be at the Third Place one instead. You can recognise me because I’ll be the girl with the massive bruises on her arms from giving blood.

For maximum convenience you’d want a blood feud with another YA author who also spends part of the time in Oz and part in US. The sort of evil person who would surreptiously videotape you learning the Lindy Hop, for example.

I have a fantastic idea for a blood fued. Try to take over Libba Bray’s spot as Key Note Speaker, lol, be all “Not that I think I’m better than you, but I have written more books” (though her page count may be higher, lol)
