LIAR Tour Starts Tomorrow
Tomorrow I will be in Memphis, Tennessee. I’m ridiculously excited about this. Not least because I’ve never been there before. I’ve always wanted to see Graceland. My kind publishers have allowed space in my program so that I may do so. Woo hoo!
Here is tomorrow’s event:
Thursday, 8 October, 6:00 pm:
Davis-Kidd Booksellers
387 Perkins Ext

Memphis, TN
Then on Saturday I’m in Nashville at the Southern Festival of Books. Nashville’s another city I’ve never been to before. Actually, I’ve never been anywhere in Tennessee before. I have high hopes for the barbeque. Here’s my Saturday schedule:
Saturday, 10 October, 2:00-3:00 pm
Southern Festival of Books
Talk in Room 16
Legislative Plaza
Nashville, TN
Followed by signing
3:00-4:00 pm
War Memorial Plaza
Between 6th & 7th Avenues.
Nashville, TN
If you’re can’t make the signing I’m happy to sign for you at any time. All you have to do is ask.
I can’t wait to meet the Tennessee contingent of blog readers.
Okay, I guess I should start thinking about packing now . . . What’s the weather like there?

Graceland is surreal; it’s gotten to be such a big business.
I loved reading Liar.

I’m looking forward to seeing you here in my hometown of Nashville.

Also, the weather here: it was a very wet Sept, but we are seeing sone sun these days. Highs in the 50s-70s (F), lows at night in the 40s-50s. Temps can vary greatly here. Just starting to cool off enough to think about maybe having a jacket or light sweater handy, I guess.

Yesterday it just kept raining. Today is sunny and warm. Close to seventy I would guess.
I’m an hour from Nashville but my car won’t survive the trip. Otherwise I’d be there.

Ah, so close to Kentucky and yet so far.

Taylor Says:
Tennessee? Really? That is SO- oh, wait. I just moved away not a month ago! That’s right, that’s how things work. Well, I hope to see you here in Denver sometime in the future!

Erin Says:
I was wondering if you could clear up some confusion for me. You said in an earlier post that you weren’t coming to Phoenix, but my school librarian has told me that our school’s contact at the Phoenix Book Company metioned to her that you are going to be at Changing Hands book store with Scott on October 14th. Is this true? Thanks.
I hope you have fun in Memphis. (And seeing Graceland, of course!)

Shalonda Says:
I am so sad. I had a hotel booked for the Southern Festival of Books, but unfortunately I have become quite ill and am unable to make the trip.
However, you will love Tennessee. It is so laid back and such a friendly place and the accents are awesome!

Pam Adams Says:
Is there a complete tour list posted? I just saw the Leviathan/Lexicon show and would love to complete the set!

Shara S. White Says:
I’d be there if I wasn’t so far east! Well, being south of Knoxville, TN isn’t THAT far away from Nashville, but unfortunately, we have plans for that Saturday. :-/ Hope you have fun though!
October 7th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
13. Justine Says:
Erin: Sadly, that is not true. I am not going to be in Phoenix. (I sure wish I could be there Friday night for the fifth game of the WNBA finals.) And the only event I’m doing with Scott is in November in NYC.
Shalonda: Oh noes! I was so looking forward to meeting you. Get well soon!
October 8th, 2009 at 12:38 am
Erin Says:
Thanks for answering my question, Justine. I’m disappointed that you’re not coming to Phoenix, but I kind of already accepted the fact back when you posted it before. At least now I know not to bring a stack of your books down to Tempe with me next week. I hope you have fun on your tour. (And hopefully you’ll make it to Phoenix next time.)
