Claire: There’s absolutely nothing wrong in asking a publisher for an ARC. I do it myself all the time. Sure, publishers don’t always give them to you. But there’s zero harm in asking.

All I object to is people asking me for ARCs when it’s clearly stated on the contact page that I don’t have any. It’s a waste of both our times.

Poor, poor Justine. I know it must suck for people to be so pushy. I myself am a YA book blogger who asks authors for their books because I AM INTERESTED IN PROMOTING/REVIEWING THEIR BOOK. I am not in it for free books. I am not in it for anything but the joy I get when I promote an upcoming book on my blog, write a good review, and make an author happy. I think, deep down, all bloggers need to keep that in mind.

I would like to apologise for the “crazies” in YA blogging community. They’re letting the YAblogverse down. It is extremely rude of them and I cannot believe their stupidity either. (Maybe they were seagulls in a previous life? – mine, mine, mine.)

We were just discussing ARCs on my blog. I was addressing authors who approach me about reviewing their books in ARC form and then a bunch of authors left comments that bloggers are driving them crazy with review copy requests and then in some cases not even reviewing them. I agree that sucks

I have PILES of Liar ARCs! Piles of them! I must have . . . let’s see . . . a thousand of them? Justine gave them to me and told me to HIDE THEM from people.

And I looked in this room in her apartment, and she had like, ten thousand more. She was burning them for fuel on Friday, and she made me eat one. I don’t know why she’s pretending not to have any. I guess she’s just lying.
