I was lucky enough to be in the first audience anywhere (at least that's what they told us!) to see the new film MILK, about the life of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official in the US. Reading about this new initiative gave me chills -- it would undo the excllent work that Mr. Milk did to fight legalized discriminataion against gays. It shouldn't have taken a movie to educate me about his work, but it did -- and I hope the movie will enlighten others when it comes out this fall. Wow.
