I saw John Kerry walking down the street once, in Washington and six years before he ran for president, and nobody squealed after him. (What I chiefly recall is that he strides as if he wore seven-league boots: there are tall people and then there are tall people with tall legs.) Although the quiet life has something to say for itself (especially the quiet life with steaks and Freixenet), the busy life sounds pretty exciting too. I swear, you have the funnest life.
