John Green being cute

Just saw this gorgeous photo essay on John Green’s blog of him finding out that he’d won the Printz award. It’s dead cute.

Of course, the main thing I took out of it was relief not to be in NYC. So. Very. Cold. Look at all those clothes! Uggh.

    thanks! I’m a big fan of MAGIC AND MADNESS (and of Mr. Westerfeld’s books as well).

    I’d rather not be in New York as well, actually. I often think that if I want to be a serious ya novelist, I should perhaps move to Australia, which is producing so many great ones.

    Tee hee! I’ll tell Margo when I see her. You’re right, of course, you’d be an even better writer if you moved here (a warmer one, too!)—just look at what it’s done for Scott’s career.

    So pleased you liked my book! Though you owe me one for yours. Looking for Alaska made me cry so hard I spent a whole day with the most hideously swollen face of all time. I must be the only person to read it who didn’t see that particular thing coming.
