written in June 2003.
I sold the trilogy from a proposal in November
of the same year and
turned in the first book in February 2004.
It was published in March 2005.
The afterword to the
Australian edition of Magic or Madness
which discusses Camperdown Cemetery
—one of the settings of the trilogy.
If any of the words in these chapters are unfamiliar—like “amari” or “knackered” or “unco”—look ‘em up in the glossary.
